School Awaits Funding Decision with Bated breath
The North Northants Council are considering redistributing the Maintained Nursery School Supplement in line with take up of places
If the Council goes for complete parity of funding this would see an increase in funding of £100,000 a year for Ronald Tree Nursery School to the benefit of all it's children. However the school would welcome any increase after a series of major funding cuts over the last five years. Currently Ronald Tree has 25% of the children attending maintained nursery schools in North Northamptonshire but only receives 5% of the funding given by central government to support the provision of the free 15 hours weekly entitlement.
Our head teacher, Deb Thwaites was interviewed by the NN Journal recently about the situation as part of their coverage about the proposals currently out to consultation (see attached).
